The 8th Ministerial Meeting of the Ancient Civilizations Forum was held in Yerevan on December 18 under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture of Greece, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iraq, as well as representatives from Egypt, Peru, Italy, China, and Bolivia. 

The meeting commenced with the family photo of the participants.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, as the chair of the Forum, delivered opening remarks, followed by speeches from representatives of other participating states. A video message was delivered by Kong Vireak, Secretary-General of the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia, and Ernesto Ottone, Director-General for Culture of UNESCO.

An exchange of views took place on issues related to future cooperation within the framework of the Forum.

Accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister of  Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, the participants of the Forum toured the History Museum of Armenia.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of the "Yerevan Declaration".
