Meeting of Foreign Minister of Armenia with Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran
18 December, 2024On December 18 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is in Armenia to participate in the 8th Ministerial Meeting of the Ancient Civilizations Forum.
The interlocutors discussed steps aimed at continuous development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, including in the fields of culture, public diplomacy and tourism. Minister Mirzoyan highly valued the respect shown toward Armenian cultural heritage in Iran, emphasizing that it is one of the manifestations of the millennia-old strong ties between the two peoples.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Reza Salehi Amiri also exchanged views on various ideas to preserve cultural heritage, cooperation in the field of art and implement new initiatives to promote further interactions between people and professionals. In this context, the importance of fully utilizing the opportunities offered by the Ancient Civilizations Forum was underlined.
Ministers of Armenia and Iran also exchanged views on regional developments, existing challenges and efforts to overcome them.
