The newly appointed Ambassador of Italy handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On January 13, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Alessandro Ferranti, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the assumption of his tenure, Paruyr Hovhannisyan wished fruitful work during his responsible mission. Underlining historically friendly relations between Armenia and Italy the Deputy Minister expressed confidence that the Ambassador will spare no effort to further deepen and develop friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides commended the high-level political dialogue between the two countries. A range of issues on both bilateral and multilateral agendas were touched upon. The expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed the Ambassador on the position of the Armenian side regarding the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the “Crossroad of Peace’’ project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
