The newly appointed Ambassador of the Dominican Republic handed over the copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

On February 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Alejandro Arias Zarzuela, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Armenia (with residence in Moscow), on the occasion of handing over the copy of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasised Armenia's interest in developing the multifaceted relations established with the Dominican Republic.

Expressing gratitude for the warm wishes, the newly appointed Ambassador reaffirmed his commitment to making every effort to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries and enrich the bilateral agenda.

The interlocutors discussed a range of issues on bilateral relations, including political dialogue, the expansion of bilateral political and economic ties, as well as prospects for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. 

The Deputy Foreign Minister also touched upon Armenia’s efforts to establish regional peace, the current developments, as well as presented the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The sides expressed their readiness to continue cooperation aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations.
