Phone Conversation of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Lithuania

On February 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between the two countries.

In the context of further deepening the established effective engagement, the importance of maximizing cooperation opportunities in various sectoral directions, parallel to high-level political dialogue, was emphasized.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Lithuania discussed ongoing activities towards deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, including through continuous active dialogue with EU member states. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of cooperation and implementation of projects in areas of mutual interest, ranging from democratic reforms to infrastructure development and strengthening resilience.

In the context of expanding cooperation in various formats, Ararat Mirzoyan and Kęstutis Budrys expressed satisfaction with the active dynamics of Armenia's cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic countries and exchanged views on future activities.

International and regional developments were also touched upon. The Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized Armenia’s firm political will in establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus
