Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia with the State Secretary for Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway
25 February, 2025On February 25, in Geneva, on the sidelines of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, the State Secretary for Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan presented his interlocutor the ongoing reform processes in Armenia, emphasizing the importance of Norway’s support for Armenia’s democratic institutions in this context.
The Deputy Foreign Minister commended the cooperation established between Armenia and the Nordic-Baltic (NB8) countries highlighting the interest of Armenia in furthering and deepening these ties.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the upcoming 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) set to be hosted in Yerevan in 2026.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the latest developments in the South Caucasus, outlining Armenia’s vision regarding the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the unblocking of regional communications.
