On March 11, the final session and closing ceremony of the Model UN Conference, jointly organized with the UNCT in Armenia, took place at the Foreign Ministry of Armenia. The conference was dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Armenia's membership in the UN and the Day of the Diplomat of the Republic of Armenia.

Opening remarks were delivered by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs David Karapetyan and UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Françoise Jacob, followed by a simulation of a UN Human Rights Council session with the participation of young delegates representing UNHRC member and observer states, as well as NGOs. As a result of the conference, the participants adopted a Youth Declaration.

Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia David Karapetyan welcomed the active involvement of youth in the areas of international relations and diplomacy, expressed high appreciation for their participation in the event and emphasized its continuous nature.

The most prominent participants of the Model UN conference will have an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the UNCT in Armenia.
