Meeting of Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan with Foreign Minister of Brazil Mauro Vieira
20 March, 2025On March 10, in Brazil, the tête-à-tête meeting took place between the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Foreign Minister of Brazil Mauro Vieira. The ministers continued their discussions in an enlarged format with the participation of delegations from both countries.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Mauro Vieira held a detailed discussion on all issues and initiatives aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda, deepening political dialogue and developing cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Brazil exchanged views on concrete opportunities for expanding cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, education, innovation, high-tech and energy. Both sides emphasized their strong willingness to undertake additional joint efforts to promote investments and business ties. The next steps have been outlined to be carried out with the participation of the relevant ministries and agencies of both countries.
The Ministers also exchanged views on international agenda issues, touching upon the already active cooperation established in various platforms.
In the context of regional issues, Minister Mirzoyan presented in detail Armenia’s vision for establishment of peace in the South Caucasus, the efforts undertaken toward this goal, including the drafting and finalization of the draft peace treaty. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is ready to sign an agreement based on the already agreed text, which could serve as a solid foundation for stability and comprehensive peace in the region.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Mauro Vieira signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and Rio Branco Diplomatic Institute of Brazil.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan visited the memorial dedicated to Juscelino Kubitschek, the founder of the capital Brasília and the 21st President of Brazil. Minister Mirzoyan made a note in the guest book.
