Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the President of Kazakhstan
27 March, 2025On March 27, within the framework of the official visit to Kazakhstan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan was received by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the meeting, issues on the bilateral relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan were discussed. Both sides noted with satisfaction the recent active dynamics of high-level political dialogue and touched upon the progress in the implementation of reached agreements.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev exchanged views on the development of strategic partnership between the two countries and the ongoing efforts to expand cooperation in sectors of mutual interest. Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of economy, trade, transport, innovation and education.
In the context of economic development and ensuring connectivity, the interlocutors underscored the importance of effectively utilizing transport-logistic routes and efforts aimed at increasing cargo transportation volumes.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the President of Kazakhstan also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the position of Kazakhstan in advancing the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly with regard to the signing of the peace agreement. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is ready to sign the agreement, which can be achieved if both sides demonstrate political will.
