On March 28, political consultations took place in Bern between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation. The delegations were led by the Director of the European Department of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan and the Head of the Eurasia Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ambassador Muriel Peneveyre. 

A broad range of issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed. Both sides emphasized the need to further develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Switzerland and touched upon the successful cooperation on international platforms.

Views were exchanged on the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenian side expressed great appreciation for Switzerland's continued support for efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region. 

Urgent issues on the international and regional agenda were also discussed.
