On April 3, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with the delegation led by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues on cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the State of Qatar.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties commended the high level of political dialogue between the two countries, emphasizing the need for strengthening cooperation in areas such as economy, investment, tourism, and culture. Both sides emphasized the crucial role of resident embassies in advancing the bilateral agenda, as well as agreed to redouble their efforts to further develop the rich agenda of relations at bilateral and multilateral levels.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar for welcoming the finalisation of the text of the "Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan", and he also highly appreciated Qatar highest leadership’s interest towards the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative developed by the Government of Armenia.

Views were exchanged on the prospects of intensifying cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The parties also touched upon a number of issues of regional and international agenda.
