Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Romania

On April 11, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Emil Hurezeanu. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

The interlocutors discussed the ongoing efforts aimed at expanding cooperation between Armenia and Romania, supported by the dynamic political dialogue and high-level reciprocal visits.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Emil Hurezeanu expressed satisfaction with the achievements reached in deepening the Armenia-EU partnership and exchanged views on the steps being taken and prospects for establishing a new, more ambitious agenda between Armenia and the EU.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of ensuring inclusivity of the regional projects, noting that such initiatives can contribute not only to economic development in the South Caucasus but also to enhanced interconnectivity in the broader neighborhood, thereby strengthening stability. In this context, they also touched upon the unblocking of regional transport communications, the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project, and the significance of integrating it into a broader logistical network.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Romania also addressed issues of cooperation in multilateral formats.
