Cultural event held at the Komitas Museum-Institute

On April 22, the Komitas Museum-Institute hosted an event in the ongoing series of cultural diplomacy initiated for the diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Armenia. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Hakob Sargsyan, the Head of the Department of Media and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Lusine Sahakyan, the Director of the Komitas Museum-Institute.
In his speech, Hakob Sargsyan emphasized the importance of intercultural communication, expressing gratitude to the Komitas Museum-Institute for hosting the event and for its support in organizing it, highlighting the museum's important role in preserving the creative legacy of Komitas.
On this occasion, Nora Arissian, the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Armenia, presented the Komitas Museum-Institute with a book she translated into Arabic - a collection of articles of Komitas.
In the framework of the event, the "Geghard" vocal ensemble delivered a musical performance, featuring selected works from Komitas’ compositions.
