Message from Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on the Occasion of Diplomat’s Day

02 March, 2025

On March 2, 1992, when the tricolor of the newly independent Republic of Armenia was raised at the UN headquarters - symbolizing our country’s entry into the family of independent nations - a centuries-old dream of our people was fulfilled: to live and create within its own sovereign state. Since that day, over the past 33 years, under various circumstances and amidst evolving developments and priorities, diplomatic service has become an inseparable part of the establishment and strengthening of our sovereign statehood, the overcoming of existential challenges, and the collective efforts to address global agenda issues. Often, it has even served as the main key for the success of those endeavors.

Today, the Republic of Armenia stands at a unique crossroads - both in terms of time and space, as well as ideology and values. Today, as the world and various regions face complex and often unpredictable challenges and uncertainties, and as claims for dominance through force persist, the work of the diplomat standing on the frontlines is more vital than ever.

The imperative of the day is to create a peaceful, secure, and stable environment around our country, ensure opportunities for economic development within that environment, and effectively advance a positive agenda for international cooperation.

A deep sense of mission, unwavering dedication, boundless energy, steadfast will and flexibility, professionalism - only through the effective combination of these factors it is possible to successfully navigate this path.

On this symbolic day, I extend my congratulations and gratitude to all diplomats of the Republic of Armenia for their dedicated service. I am confident that together, we will undoubtedly succeed.

Long live the Republic of Armenia!
